Schools and young people
Working together to become one of London’s most sustainable boroughs, join us on our journey.
We are future proofing our borough for generations to come. By working in partnership with schools and young people's organisations across the borough.

Citizen’s Assembly recommendation
The Citizen’s Assembly recommendation was to "Educate Children and Young people around Climate Change and Sustainability through Curriculum"
Following up on this, we are:
-
working to improve our engagement with schools across Barnet. To help find solutions to barriers they face to sustainability in their schools and curriculum
-
working on co-developing a Barnet School Charter and School Strategy which we will launch in January 2025. This work is together with UCL’s Climate Action Unit and schools across Barnet.
