Challenging behaviour
Skip to:
Challenging BehaviourĀ is a range of things that some people with a learning disability may do to get their needs met.
Things like hurting themselves, hurting others, eating things that they should not.
People with a learning disability can also have difficulty communicating. So they display challenging behaviour to help them get what they need.
We support people with challenging behaviour by trying to understand why it is happening. We then findĀ safer ways for people to get what they need.
