AskBarnet is our chatbot - it can answer general queries about Council Tax, Housing Benefit, bins, recycling, schools and pest control .
It is available on certain pages including our homepage.
You will need to have accepted Cookies when you first visit our website.
Contact us on 020 8359 2000 for all services except Adult Social Care and Housing (link takes you to Barnet Homes).

Relay UK
Relay UK is a text relay service that lets people with hearing loss or speech impairment access the telephone network
Get the Relay UK app
- Download the Relay UK app from the App Store, Google Play or Microsoft Store onto your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
- Link your number to it to tell the app how you would like to use the service.
- To contact us at Barnet Council, open the Relay UK app, put in 020 8359 6111 and you will be connected to Relay UK.
- The Relay Assistant will speak the words you type to the person you're calling. The Relay Assistant will type their reply so you can read it on your display.
Using textphone
If you’re a textphone (minicom/uniphone) user, you can still make calls in the usual way.
- Dial 18001 020 8359 6111 from your textphone.
- When connected, you can type or speak your conversation. The Relay Assistant will type back anything the hearing person says.
- The conversation will carry on this way until one of you ends the call.

- Go to the Barnet Council page of Interpreters Live.
- Enter the name of the Barnet service you want to contact.
- Tell us your name (optional).
- You'll connect to a BSL Interpreter - you will see them on your device screen in the web browser or app window.
