Health and safety at work
Every business owner and operator has a responsibility to protect the health and safety of their employees, customers and visitors. They must also ensure all health and safety risks are properly managed.

Workplace health and safety inspections
Our Health and Safety team carry out workplace inspections and can investigate reported accidents and complaints about health and safety. We also offer advice on health and safety to employers, employees and the public.
Our officers can enter workplaces at any reasonable time, without notice. They always carry identification to show they are authorised officers.
What happens after an inspection
Following an inspection, we will issue a written report to the duty holder and may serve enforcement notices or prosecute, if necessary.
