Naming ceremony
We are here to help you plan for the perfect day.
A naming ceremony is a non-legal non-religious celebratory ceremony. Ceremonies are for children of all ages.
It is a celebration, not only to welcome a child into your family, but is also an opportunity for parents, family and friends to make promises to your child. Supporting adults (friends or relatives chosen by the parents) can have a role as mentors and make a pledge to your child.
You will receive a certificate to commemorate your ceremony.
You do not have to live in Barnet to have a naming ceremony with us.
Guide to planning and booking your ceremony
Your ceremony can take place at Hendon Town Hall, one of our licensed venues within Barnet or at any other location, including your garden or home.
