About the CIFA scheme
The CIFA scheme provides tailored services for racialised and minoritised communities through a focused, coordinated family and community approach.
The scheme is funded by MOPAC and supports part of the commitment made in the Domestic Abuse and Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy 2022 – 2025 which sets out an ambitious programme of delivery and a clear message that to end violence against women and girls we need to work together.
Sophie Linden, London’s Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime visited Barnet Council for an update on the council’s CIFA scheme which is run alongside our partners in the neighbouring councils of Brent and Enfield.
Sophie Linden, said “I’m really pleased that we are able to provide funding for this programme. In order to keep women and girls safe we have to change the behaviour of men and this service is about providing culturally appropriate services that recognise and understand the differences in cultures and ethnicities”.
