Town twinning

Barnet has links with 8 towns around the world. These connections were established to promote cultural, social and educational links between areas, as well as encouraging trade links and economic benefits.

Many of the links were made by the smaller councils which existed before the London Borough of Barnet was created in 1965. 

Le Raincy Photography Competition: "Regards Croisés" / "Exchanging Viewpoints"

Le Raincy invites residents of their twin towns of Barnet, Caldas da Rainha in Portugal and Clusone in Italy to participate in this annual competition.

The 2025 competition has now closed. The theme was "My City, My Heritage: Hidden Heritage". Results will be announced in due course.

The 2024 competition did not take place.
