Town twinning

Barnet has links with 8 towns around the world. These connections were established to promote cultural, social and educational links between areas, as well as encouraging trade links and economic benefits.

Many of the links were made by the smaller councils which existed before the London Borough of Barnet was created in 1965. 

Le Raincy Photography Competition: "Regards Croisés" / "Exchanging Viewpoints"

Le Raincy invites residents of their twin towns of Barnet, Caldas da Rainha in Portugal and Clusone in Italy to participate in this annual competition.

The theme for 2025 is "My City, My Heritage: Hidden Heritage". Participants may enter up to three photographs. More information can be found at villeduraincy.fr/en/concours-de-photographie, including the competition rules downloadable from the link at the bottom of the entry form. The 2024 competition did not take place.
