Trading standards
Barnet Trading Standards is responsible for enforcing Trading Standards laws to ensure businesses are trading fairly in Barnet. This includes:
- age restricted products
- animal health and welfare
- fair trading, including pricing, descriptions of goods, digital content and services, terms and conditions
- petrol and fireworks storage
- intellectual property (for example, fake or counterfeit products)
- product safety - the Office for Product Safety Standards provides product recalls and alerts guidance
- weights and measures.
