Advertise school vacancies with Barnet Council

What we offer

Barnet Council is committed to supporting its local schools in finding great talent while keeping costs low.

We offer recruitment services for all educational institutions in Barnet, including digital pre-employment checks, advert writing, or training. Our user-friendly job board is designed to help you find candidates for teaching, leadership and admin roles.  

In addition to the Barnet Council’s job board, your advert will also be posted on the following job boards at no extra cost:

International recruitment

Barnet can also help with international advertising campaigns and provide support for hiring overseas talent, including issuing Certificates of Sponsorship (COS). Costs for a COS will vary depending on locations and marketing.

Here’s  a breakdown of all charges:

  • COS £239
  • immigration surcharge (prices vary depending on the type of visa e.g. £2,000 for a 3 year visa)
  • administration fee £125

Charges shown are for the 2024/25 financial year and are subject to change at short notice.

Listing a vacancy

To advertise your jobs with Barnet, simply follow the steps below:

Before completing the advert request form, please prepare the:

School advert request form 

Please make sure to upload any relevant documents to avoid delay in posting the advert.

Once all required documents have been received, your advert will be posted on the Barnet jobs board and all the other job boards above within 3 working days.

Adverts will remain listed until the closing date is reached.

Only 1 vacancy is permitted per advert.  All adverts must have a closing date and cannot be displayed for more than 2 months (including any advert extension).

There is an administration fee of £75 (ex VAT) per advert, including any advert extension (max of 2 months). Barnet will issue a sales invoice at the end of every month providing you with payment options.
