NOTICE OF ELECTION

London Borough of Barnet

Election of one councillor for Finchley Church End Ward on Thursday 6 March 2025


Notice is hereby given that:

  1. An election is to be held for a Borough Councillor for the Finchley Church End Ward of the London Borough of Barnet.
     
  2. Completed nomination papers must be delivered in person to the Returning Officer at: London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW on any weekday after the date of this notice between the hours of 10am and 4pm, but by no later than 4pm on Friday 7 February 2025.
     
  3. Where more candidates are nominated in a ward than the number of councillors to be elected, the poll will take place on Thursday 6 March 2025 between the hours of 7am and 10pm.
     
  4. Applications to register to vote at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer no later than Tuesday 18 February 2025. Applications can be made online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
     
  5. Applications to vote by post or to change existing postal or proxy voting arrangements must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 19 February 2025.
     
  6. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate (free voter ID), or an Anonymous Elector's Document valid for this election, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 26 February 2025.
     
  7. New applications to vote by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 26 February 2025.
     
  8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy on grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons arising after 5pm on Wednesday 26 February 2025 must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Thursday 6 March 2025.
