Report a safety or security concern

Report a crime

In case of an emergency or if you or anyone near you is in danger, phone 999.

If you have encountered crime but are not in immediate danger, report it by phone on 101 or report it online.

Raise a concern about a child or young person

Barnet's Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) is the place to report concerns for a child or young person.

If you have urgent concerns that need an immediate response, phone MASH on 020 8359 4066.

The MASH team are available:

  • Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.15pm
  • Friday 9am to 5pm

Outside these hours you should report any urgent concerns to our emergency duty team on 020 8359 2000.

If you're worried that a child may be suffering, or may be at risk of harm, you should complete a safeguarding concern referral.

Reporting something doesn’t have to mean to the police
