What is Connect Barnet?
Do you need extra help accessing the services we offer as a council?
Connect Barnet offers friendly, in-person guidance to help you with the council services you need.
Come to a drop-in session at Burnt Oak library, Chipping Barnet library or our pop-up locations for step-by-step guidance, assisted self-service or handholding support.
We’re here for any resident who’s experiencing a challenge accessing council services. This could be due to digital confidence, language barriers, health-related issues or being unfamiliar with council services.
Our service is welcoming, and the advice and information we give is impartial, independent and confidential.
What can Connect Barnet help with?
We can assist you with:
- Council Tax
- Housing Benefit
- Blue Badges
- disabled person's Freedom Passes
- school admissions.
We can help with navigating benefits and grants using the Barnet online financial calculator.
We can also guide you to any other council services you need.
Where can you find us?
Connect Barnet is offered at the following locations. An appointment is not needed:
Burnt Oak Library

- Monday and Wednesday from 9am to 5pm
- Please arrive before 4pm
Chipping Barnet Library
- Address: 3 Stapylton Road, High Barnet, Barnet, EN5 4QT
- Chipping Barnet Library location
- 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 9am to 11:30am and 2.30pm to 5pm
- Please arrive before 4pm
Chipping Barnet Foodbank
- Address: 63 Somerset Rd, New Barnet, Barnet EN5 1RF
- Chipping Barnet Foodbank location
- 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 12pm to 2pm
