Avoid garden bonfires if you can. Barnet is a very populated area, and bonfires are likely to disturb your neighbours.

Reporting a bonfire nuisance

While there are no laws against domestic bonfires, we can investigate complaints about nuisance from smoke.

If you are being unreasonably disturbed by smoke from a bonfire, contact us. An officer may visit your property to assess the nuisance. They will then advise you on what action can be taken regarding the people responsible for the bonfire.
