Young Volunteers
If you are aged 14-17 and think you might have some spare time during your summer holidays, then why not have a go at volunteering with us?
Every year Barnet runs the Summer Reading Challenge in its libraries, encouraging children aged 4 – 11 to read six books over their summer holidays. Do you think you could spare up to 8 hours to help us promote the Challenge? Your role would involve signing children up to the scheme, giving out stickers and prizes as they read their books and helping out at the fun activities that we’ve got planned! In return we can give you a reference and your hours will count towards your DofE award or Arts Award.
We are looking for young volunteers at the following libraries:
- Burnt Oak
- Chipping Barnet
- Colindale
- East Finchley
- Edgware
- Finchley Church End
- Golders Green
- Hendon
- North Finchley
- Osidge
