Opposite sex couples are not able to convert their civil partnership to a marriage, as they had the choice of a marriage or a civil partnership at the time of their ceremony.

Guide to converting your civil partnership
There are two different ways to convert your civil partnership.
The first option is by an appointment, in which a declaration is prepared and then signed in a simple appointment. There is no ceremony and you attend the appointment at Barnet Register Office.
The second option is to have a ceremony to celebrate the occasion and sign the declaration.
You can arrange for your ceremony to take place at Hendon Town Hall or any other licensed venue within Barnet.
