Renewal of vows ceremony

Having a ceremony to renew your marriage or civil partnership vows has no legal significance, you can have your ceremony anywhere you choose to. You can have a ceremony with family and friends or alone and you don’t need to have witnesses.
You don’t have to live in Barnet to book a ceremony with us and you can use any of our licensed venues with our registrars conducting your ceremony. At the end of the ceremony you will sign and receive a special renewal of vows certificate.
Guide to planning and booking your ceremony
You can have your ceremony anywhere you choose to. Hendon Town Hall is a popular choice and there are other licensed venues that offer great options.
Ceremony at Hendon Town Hall

Fees include the cost of the room and the registrars.
We charge a non-refundable booking fee of £100 to book a ceremony date and time. We will take this fee from the full ceremony fee. The final cost of your ceremony will depend on the venue you book with us.
Heritage Room
Space for up to 45 guests.
Times and costs:
- Monday to Thursday before 4 pm: £249
- Friday before 4 pm: £289
- Saturday before 4 pm: £350
- Sunday before 1 pm: £489
Committee Room 1 and 2 and the Council Chambers Room
Space for up to 100 guests.
Times and costs:
- Monday to Thursday before 4 pm: £309
- Friday before 4 pm: £309
- Saturday before 4 pm: £385
- Sunday before 1 pm: £519
Ceremony at another Barnet venue

Times and costs for registrars to attend your ceremony at a licensed venue:
- Monday to Friday before 4 pm: £529
- Saturday before 4 pm: £579
- Sunday before 4 pm: £679

Once you have arranged and booked your Renewal of Vows ceremony, you will need to send us a copy of your marriage or civil partnership certificate.
