In May 2024 the Inspectors invited comments on the Main Modifications to the Local Plan. This is the version that was submitted in November 2021 for examination by an Inspector appointed by the Government.

Local Plan Main Modifications: Schedule of Representations and Responses
The Schedule of Representations and Responses represents the Council’s response on the Main Modifications consultation. This has been provided for the Inspectors. This is now a matter for the Inspectors to take into account in producing their Report on the Local Plan, alongside the individual representations from the consultation. In writing their Report the Inspectors will focus on issues of soundness and legal compliance and will only recommend Main Modifications that are necessary for soundness and legal compliance. The Report will not make recommendations on points that do not bear on soundness and legal compliance and will not respond to every point or issue raised by those objecting to the Local Plan or refer to every policy and site allocation (unless there is a specifically related Main Modification).

In response to the individual Main Modifications representations the Council has put forward for the Inspectors consideration;
This also sets out Additional Modifications which consist of minor corrections and factual updates.
