Bin collection issues

Your bin wasn't collected

If you think we have missed your bin collection there may be a reason for this please check here.

You need help putting your bins out

We understand that some people may have physical difficulties putting out their bins for collections. If you need help, request an assisted collection here.

You have extra waste or recycling.

Try to reduce the amount of your waste to help reduce the effect on the  environment and high costs of disposal.

You must place all waste for collection within the appropriate bins. We cannot collect any extra waste placed beside your bin.

If you have extra recycling you can put it in clear sacks alongside your blue recycling bin on your collection day. Flattened cardboard no larger than one metre squared can also be put out for collection alongside your blue recycling bin. Extra recycling can also be taken to the Summers Lane Reuse and Recycling Centre

If you regularly have more recycling than fits in your bin you can request a second blue bin. There is a charge for this.

If our crews have spilt materials onto the road or pavement from your bins please contact us to arrange this to be cleared.

You don’t have any bins at your property

Most properties have bin collections, but if you live in block of flats (6 or more flats) you will have a different selection of bins.

You can request new or replacement bins.

For some residents, blue bins will be replaced with a sack collection.
