Getting on your bike regularly can help you lose weight, reduce stress and improve your fitness.
Cycling is suitable for people of all ages and abilities.
It's one of the easiest ways to fit exercise into your daily routine because it's a form of transport.
It also saves you money and is good for the environment.
Cycle parking
The council have installed cycle stands across the borough to support cycling.
You can find them:
- in town centres
- outside train and tube stations
We’re assessing the level of interest in bike hangars in residential areas.
The annual fee for renting a space within a bike hangar is £72, including VAT.
We would need requests from residents before they are made available. This is subject to funding.
You can book a space within a bike hangar near you or add your name to a waiting list at:
https://www.cyclehoop.rentals/
We also welcome suggestions from residents for new cycle parking facilities, for example cycle stands.
To request a bike hangar on your road or suggest new cycle parking facilities, email cycling@barnet.gov.uk
