Barnet Libraries Online Conversation Cafe

Conversation Café is for adults whose first language is not English. It is an informal activity to help improve English language skills. The sessions are fun, relaxed and welcoming, and they cover different subjects and topics. They aim to help your confidence grow in speaking English. This event takes place during term time only every Friday from 3pm to 4pm (See School term and holiday dates). Do you want to refresh your wardrobe or give your home a new look? Bring your pre-loved clothes, jewellery and other household items and swap them with other locals. A sustainable way to shop! You can also speak with The Loop Grahame Park about ways to upcycle furniture at home. Please bring lightly worn, non-damaged, clean items for adults and teens only. We cannot accept underwear, socks, hosiery or swimming costumes, shoes or electrical items. No need to book, just drop in.

Bubbles with Olena at Chipping Barnet library

Watch Bubble Artist Olena create a fabulous display of bubbles to music. This event is for people aged 60+ and their carers only. This event is part of our Loving Life project, a community health project for older adults in 2025. We particularly welcome those living with dementia and their carers. Loving Life is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. Booking is essential. Each adult and carer needs a ticket.
