Barnet SENDIASS is pleased to announce an in-person information session for parents/carers of children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities who attend a Barnet setting.

Tea and hot drinks, a light lunch/healthy snacks, friendly conversation, various activities, some light exercise, games and fun. Different activities each week. Take part in as much or as little as you like.  Join now for a casual, sociable group for over 60s We can also help with learning to use your phone, iPad, tablet, or laptop. This is a free in-person event.

A friendly and relaxed environment to chat with fellow bibliophiles and discuss the book of the month. Each month a different title is chosen across a variety of genres.

Join Tetiana in a workshop of huge proportions! Large crepe petals will be prepared by cutting, layering and shaping to create realistic and colourful flowers. This event is for people aged 60+ and their carers only. This event is part of our Loving Life project, a community health project for older adults in 2025. We particularly welcome those living with dementia and their carers. Loving Life is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

Let your creativity run wild at our Lego Club and see what fantastic ideas you can share when you… voice your world in Lego.  Lego gives us the opportunity for our diverse communities to share our ideas and thoughts in a way that needs no complicated words or a common language. Children can let the bricks do the talking design buildings and ideas, play with it, reshape it and tell their own stories.  Join us at our Lego club and celebrate the London Festival of Architecture 2025 and its theme of ‘Voices’ and build something that shares your voice in Lego. 

To celebrate the London Festival of Architecture 2025 theme of ‘Voices’, join us and recreate a world map. Leave your mark and recreate or redesign a famous monument, building or structure from across the globe, ready to share and display here at Colindale Library! This event is suitable for children 6+ A ticket is required for each child only. Accompanying adults do not require a ticket.

Do you love reading exciting stories?  Come and learn how to write your own stories in this writing workshop with children’s author Savita Kalhan. She will show you how to write stories full of amazing characters and wondrous worlds. So whether you like adventure stories, or ghost stories, magical stories or funny stories, this session will help spark your imagination to begin your own story! Suitable for children aged 7+ .
