Barnet is home to more than 25,000 registered businesses, from small start-ups to large companies. With businesses making up to 12 percent of the borough’s total carbon emissions in 2021, they play a vital role in helping us reach net zero carbon by 2042.

By signing the BarNET ZERO business pledge, your business, charity or community organisation can show its public commitment to tackling climate change and creating a more sustainable future.

This isn’t just about making big changes though, every step counts, whether it’s reviewing how you use energy, manage waste or choose suppliers.

This includes looking at:

  • building operations
  • sourcing materials
  • waste generation
  • packaging goods
  • influencing the behaviour of suppliers, staff and customers

How to get involved

  4. Energy
  5. Biodiversity and natural environment
  6. Waste and sustainable consumption
