Trauma can be caused by crime or other incidents which have had a negative impact on your well being. This could be a past or current traumatic event which has left you feeling anxious, scared, confused or alone.

You can get free, confidential support to help you recover from trauma.

Barnet - NHS Talking Therapies (Barnet & Enfield)

Let’s Talk Barnet offers assessments and short term therapy for people age 16 plus, with mild to moderate low mood or anxiety. Referral can be via registered GP or self referral.

Is an app funded by teenage mental health charity stem4 to help manage the urge to self harm. The App uses principles from an evidence based psychological treatment called Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). It is for young people aged 13 years or older.

Combined Minds is an app developed via teenage mental health charity stem4 to help families and friends support young people with their mental health. A ‘Strengths-Based’ Approach works both ways, also helping families to search for their own strengths.

Every Mind Matters has expert advice and practical tips to help you look after your mental health and wellbeing. You can sign up for anxiety easing emails, learn about CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) techniques and get a personalised action plan.

Good Thinking

Is a London-wide NHS approved digital wellbeing service. It is designed to support mental health needs such as sleep, anxiety, low mood and stress. Good Thinking offers digital self-assessment followed by a range of personalised, clinically approved services based on preferences and location. Kooth

Is a free, safe and anonymous online wellbeing service for young people, available 365 days of the year. Online support is available at a time that is convenient for the young person. Services include professional support and advice via online chat sessions lasting up to 1 hour, discussion boards and self-help content. No referral is required.

Move Mood App

Move Mood is an app developed for teenage mental health charity stem4 and uses the evidence-based treatment Behavioural Activation Therapy to help you improve your mood by encouraging you to increase your motivation to carry out a variety of tasks in order to help you to move forward, take control and feel positive.

Sleepio

An online self-help program to help reset patterns sleeping patterns without relying on medication. There are six core sessions and each takes about 30 minutes. It requires a time commitment over 6 to 8 weeks. Available free via NHS. For people aged 18 years or over.

The Mix

The Mix is an online service supporting young people with challenges they are facing; mental health, money, homelessness, finding a job, break ups or drugs. Talk to them via their online community, including a free, confidential helpline or counselling service.

A website with help and advice for young people aged 14 to 25yrs.
