Shift your focus
Breathing exercises and mindfulness can help calm the feeling of anxiety, by focussing on the present moment.
Understand what makes you anxious.
Be aware of what you are doing, journalling what you are doing and how you are feeling at that time may help you understand what makes you anxious and when, it can help you identify ways to manage and even get rid of your anxiety.
Gradually face your fears
Avoidance and safety seeking behaviours can actually make our anxieties worse, slowly facing the situation can help you feel OK. Have a go!
Look at the bigger picture
Feeling anxious can cause us to focus on the smaller details and stop seeing things clearly, seeing things from someone else’s view can make it easier to come up with a plan, if someone was in your situation what would you advise them?
