About the Webcasting service
The Council’s webcasting service is designed to increase transparency in local government and encourage greater accessibility and participation in how decisions which affect residents are made.
Council meetings are open for the public to attend and now many of our meetings can also be watched online, either live or after the meeting.
Who can record
If you are attending a meeting in person or online, you may be in our webcast recordings.
Members of the public are also allowed to record, provided it does not disrupt the meeting.
Your consent to be recorded
The Chair will confirm if we are recording the meeting at the beginning, and will remind attendees that the meeting may be recorded by members of the public.
By entering the meeting either in person or online you're consenting to being filmed and for the images and sound recordings to be used for the purpose of webcasting.
Where you can watch recordings of meetings
Webcasts are made available to view live and on-demand via our website.
Webcasts are made available to view on demand for 1 year after the meeting. It will then be permanently deleted in line with the our retention policy.
