Insurance and claiming compensation

The Council's insurance section deal with insurance for council assets.

We also deal with claims from the public for compensation following a financial loss or injury caused by defective buildings, streets, pavements or motor vehicle accidents and so on.

There is no automatic right to compensation and you will need to prove your claim. If you have any information or photographs to assist your case, forward this to us as soon as possible.
