The Crossing is a Community Drug and Alcohol Service which aims to reduce the harm related to drug and/or alcohol use and drug related crime. It offers a range of services including one-to-one, keyworking, drop-ins, and group-work. It also refers people to other agencies if necessary (e.g. in-patient detoxification). It has a number of satellite services including a homeless person's drug and alcohol worker at a homeless day centre, Arrest Referral workers based at a police custody suite, and a Prison Liaison Worker (mainly at Wormwood Scrubbs). The Crossing also provides a satellite drop-in service on the west side of the borough as an attempt to be accessible to all people in a geographically large area. There is also a positive parenting project run at the Crossing which offers support through one-to-one and group work to parents/carers who are drug mis-users and have children aged 5 to 13 years of age.
