Barnet Mencap

Barnet Mencap provides advice, information, activities and support to people with learning
disabilities and their family carers. Some of the services and activities we provide include:

Children's Services - Independent advice, information and support to parents and carers of children and young adults with learning disabilities.

Community Projects - Providing people with learning disabilities the opportunity to take part in a wide range of community-based leisure and learning activities. There is also a group for people with Asperger's Syndrome.

Equality Housing Project - Supporting adults with learning disabilities to live independently, either in shared housing or in their own property, by empowering them to develop skills and grow in confidence. There is also a 'Working for You' drop in advice and support service.

Sherrick House - A service offering short breaks for people with learning disabilities over 18. The breaks take place at Sherrick House in Hendon as well as short holidays.
