Gathered Voices: Words of Wisdom Rooted in Strength at Hendon library

A one-off creative writing and poetry workshop celebrating the voices, stories, and cultural legacy of older Black residents in Barnet.

In honour of Black History Month 2025 and its theme “Standing Firm in Power and Pride,” this session invites participants to share their wisdom, memories, and lived experiences in a supportive, reflective space. Through guided writing, group discussion, and storytelling, we will co-create a powerful collective piece that honours the strength, identity, and pride of our elders.

No writing experience needed - just your voice and story.

African and Caribbean or Black British Adults 50+. People under 50 must be accompanied with an adult over 50 or representing an older person.
