This Barnet Climate Action Month, join us for a guided walk round the estates of East Finchley, and be inspired by the imagination and hard work of local volunteers, who improved their neighbourhood.

This 2km walk will showcase projects that have turned grey spaces green, increased biodiversity, encouraged active transport and have brought people closer to nature.  We will visit:

- Green Arrows Garden in the Archer Academy
- Market Place Playground
- Manor Park Road Underpass
- Vale Farm Allotments Pergola
- Community Quilt in Tarling Road Community Centre
- Barnwood Forest Garden, where the Birchers Forest School will offer free refreshments on 8 June.

The tour will end with free refreshments and a free balm making workshop in Barnwood Forest Garden (and a chance to see the community quilt made in response to the riots last Summer).

Please note that not all the Archer Garden is wheelchair accessible; feel free to get in touch if you have any accessibility needs.

This is a drop in event so no booking is required.

If you can’t join us on the day, you can follow the map, and listen to film clips of volunteers (please check the opening times of the school garden and Barnwood before your visit). The map can be found here.

This event will also feature in the London Festival of Architecture programme. Read more about that here.
