REQUESTS RELATING TO RELIEF DUTY (ETHNIC GROUPS) - for the year 2023A6. A breakdown of applicants owed the relief duty under s 189B(2) HA 1996 showing the number and proportion in each ethnic group (e.g. [number]/ xx% of the total were Asian; [number]/xx % were Black etc.). We have seen earlier responses to FOI requests which use the categories: Asian; Black; Mixed: Asian and White; Mixed: Black African and White; Mixed: Black Caribbean and White; Mixed: other; Other; White. Therefore, we are assuming that this categorisation of ethnic group is available. If not, please provide the response to the above request with the categories available for ethnicity. A 7. A breakdown of applicants owed the relief duty under s 189B(2) Housing Act 1996 placed out of area in PRS properties as a result of being made a final mandatory offer of a PRS tenancy (defined in s 193A(4) Housing Act 1996), showing the number and proportion of such placements made in respect of each ethnic group.We request that 'out of area' is defined as outside of Barnet and the neighbouring boroughs, or, if statistics are not available on that basis, please state the definition of 'out of area' used. A 8. (a) A breakdown of applicants owed the relief duty under s 189B(2) Housing Act 1996 who were offered an out of area placement as a final mandatory offer of a PRS tenancy (defined under s 193A(4) Housing Act 1996) where the offer was rejected leading to cessation of the housing duty (by operation of s 193A(2) and (3)), showing the number and proportion of applicants in each ethnic group.(b) The location of the property offered in each of these cases (by reference to borough, town or county). A 9. A list of all the locations (by reference to town, borough or county) where one or more PRS placements were made of applicants owed the relief duty under s 189B(2) Housing Act 1996, following mandatory final offers (defined in s 193A(4) of the Act), and the numbers placed in each location (how many were placed in each of, for example, Enfield, Redbridge, Telford, Hartlepool, Durham, Dudley, Blackpool, Stoke on Trent etc., as applicable). A 10. A breakdown of applicants owed the relief duty under s 189B(2) Housing Act 1996 placed in PRS properties out of area following mandatory final offers of PRS properties as defined by s 193A(4) of the Act, by broad geographical area (e.g. Enfield, Greater London, South East, Midlands, North East, North West, Wales), showing the total number of applicants placed in each area and the number and proportion each ethnic group makes up of applicants placed in each area.
