Traffic Calming Scheme In Marsh Lane At Junction With Tretawn Gardens
Received: 30 May 2025
Traffic Calming Scheme In Marsh Lane At Junction With Tretawn GardensThe above scheme as implemented is NOT the same as that sent out for consultation in December 2024. Additional rumble strips have been installed considerably further down the road outside number 75 on the eastbound carriageway and numbers 80/82 on the westbound. These are not on the original consultation documentation and would have been objected to for the exact reason now being experienced by residents in the form of additional and unnecessary noise and disruption. Please provide me with all documentation (including BUT NOT LIMITED TO brief/basis of design of this scheme, the highway design itself, reports/reviews of the design, impact/benefit assessments of the design undertaken, consultation documentation, consultation responses, minutes of meetings etc) that led up to and including the decision to approve this scheme as implemented on 27th May 2025.Furthermore, please provide the risk assessment carried out in relation to the impact of implementing the scheme as implemented because there have been numerous witnessed events of vehicles crossing the double lines to avoid the speed cushions so we now have a potentially less safe situation with no reduction of speed AND drivers on the wrong side of the road so I wish to see how the decision to place cushions on just one category was assessed at design stage in terms of safety vs cost.
