Barnet Council has secured another successful prosecution following a series of investigations into the sale of illegal disposable vapes.

Fone Us Mill Hill Ltd and its sole director, Sameer Qureshi, pleaded guilty to offences under The Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016 at Willesden Magistrates Court on Thursday 18 September.

The business was subject to three separate seizures between July 2023 and October 2024, resulting in the confiscation of over 1,800 non-compliant disposable vapes.

The court ordered the business and Mr Qureshi to pay a total of £5,288, including full costs.

Cllr Barry Rawlings, Leader of Barnet Council, said:

“This is a good result for our Trading Standards team and sends a clear message that selling illegal goods in Barnet will not be tolerated. We are committed to protecting residents and ensuring businesses operate within the law.”
