Sexual Health Week
Central and North West London (CNWL) NHS Foundation Trust offers inclusive services for everyone across its sexual health clinics. This means:
- Friendly, understanding staff to help you throughout your visit
- Testing for sexually transmitted infections
- Treatments, if you need them
- Advice and information about sexual health, sexual behaviour and sexual problems
- Free condoms and help with using them correctly
- Contraceptive services.
In Barnet, you can visit our clinics at Edgware Community Hospital or Vale Drive Primary Care Centre for a sexual health check-up, contraception and advice. They can also assist with longer acting contraception (coil) fitting or replacement. At the Edgware clinic, many of the appointment slots are walk-in, unless you need a coil fitting. Book online for Vale Drive. CNWL is able to provide sign language interpreters.
You can also visit the Mortimer Market Centre or Archway Centre. This includes the Bloomsbury clinic at the Mortimer Market Centre where they offer free and confidential treatments and care for people with HIV and hepatitis.

At the clinic, we will always try to see you on your own; but if you want to bring someone with you then you can. Staff can offer a longer appointment time, if required too. All the clinics are on the website Access Able. This provides information about the clinic and you can see where the accessibility ramp is, where the disabled toilets are and the layout of the clinic to help you feel comfortable before visiting.
CNWL is inclusive in lots of other ways too; the Trust runs an outreach programme in London to support the needs of men who have sex with men and people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, non-binary or any other identity and it also offers specialist services for vulnerable groups.
