Purpose

The Panel provides expert advice to ensure development proposals meet high standards of design, placemaking, and sustainability, enhancing the surrounding environment and supporting the Council’s vision for high-quality built environments.

Process

Design proposals are referred to the Panel by the Council when an assessment is needed, typically early in the pre-application stage to allow for design revisions. The Panel reviews the design, offering feedback and recommendations aimed at improving the development’s quality.

Applicants must engage with the Panel through the designated case officer and are responsible for paying the associated fees to Frame Projects.
