Visit our Activity Room for children 1 to 5 years. The room will be set up with a variety of construction and creative activities for you and your child to explore together. Booking required, please book through the link provided. One ticket admits one adult and one child. Non-walking siblings may attend for free. An earlier session is available at 10am.

Chair Yoga at Chipping Barnet Library

This session is an introduction to chair yoga and suitable for anyone curious to explore the benefits of yoga. We'll start with a short introduction followed by active sitting, becoming aware of our breath and warming up the joints. Then we'll explore some postures before enjoying a guided relaxation. Options for varying levels of flexibility will be provided so there will be a version of the poses for everyone to explore.

During this (virtual) Information session, our fostering team will be introducing fostering and the approval process. This is a great chance for our friendly fostering team and experienced foster carers to answer your enquiries and share information about fostering.

Born to Jewish parents in London in 1920, Leonard Berney joined the army immediately after school and was appointed an officer aged 18. Several years later he was one of the first of the Allied troops through the gates of the disease-ridden, overcrowded Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp where he came face-to-face with its many horrors.  The talk, given by Leonard’s son John Wood, includes a detailed personal account of the liberation of the camp with video testimony by both Leonard and Belsen survivors, as well as many historical and personal photographs.
