Council’s pilot scheme sees Grahame Park Estate residents back community projects with £25,000 funding pot

Nine community groups working in the Grahame Park Estate in Colindale have been awarded a total of £25,000 in grant funding thanks to a panel of local residents. The panel was appointed and handed decision-making powers as part of Barnet Council’s pilot scheme to give residents a greater say in the improvements they want made in their area.
Students across Barnet are celebrating their A-level and vocational results today (14 August) with many schools across the borough having reported improvements on last year’s results. Over the last eight years, A-Level results in Barnet have consistently been in the top 5% of the country. This trend looks set to continue as provisional A-level results from 22 of the 27 Barnet schools with a sixth form show more outstanding results this year.

Barnet pupils celebrate GCSE exams success

Barnet pupils are celebrating GCSE results today (21 August), with schools across the borough reporting strong results. Over the last eight years, students in Barnet have performed exceptionally well in their GCSE exams, with the borough ranking in the top three or four local authorities in the country, based on attainment and progress* in 2023 and 2024.
Barnet Council is this week launching its Connecting Com
