There are a variety of accommodation options available for a young person leaving care. Some may return home or live with friends or on their own, while others move to supported accommodation. Supported Lodgings Hosts are approved individuals/families who provide a stepping stone for young people who are 16+ and have been in the care of the local authority. It allows young people to continue to develop their independence skills in a supportive, family environment. 

Step one Following your expression of interest, you have decided you might want to be a Supported Lodgings Host. At this point a member of our team will visit you and your family at home to discuss the options, process, and whether this is something you want to pursue. Step two

The council’s Environment Committee agreed a set of recycling and waste policies on 13 September 2018, which can be downloaded using the link below. These policies have been developed to maximise waste prevention and recycling and to improve the street scene. The policies will be implemented as soon as reasonably practicable.
