- The Council notes the support for Save our Edgware and Edgware Community Association. We refer to responses to them with regards to the Major Town Centre designation, sites 27 and 28.
- The Council reiterates its continued close working with colleagues in LB Harrow on the regeneration of Edgware. This joint working is reflected in the Growth Area SPD we produced jointly and adopted in June 2021. The SPD helps to provide a planning framework with more detailed guidance for the Growth Area and the development sites within it.
- The response on sites 28 and 29 relates to the recently submitted planning applications rather than Main Modifications to the Local Plan. The Inspectors are unable to consider planning applications or prospective planning applications that will be submitted to the Council. The requirements and guidelines set out in Policy GSS05 and site proposals 27 and 28 provide the framework, together with other relevant planning policies (subject to adoption of the Local Plan) and guidance contained within the Edgware Growth Area SPD, for assessing any applications that come forward in these locations. Detailed planning applications with more detail on issues such as design, car parking and culture are assessed as part of the planning decision making process.
